Crude oil futures tumble 2% on low demand

NEW DELHI: Crude oil futures fell 2.19 per cent to Rs 4,337 per barrel on Friday as participants reduced their positions on low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for March delivery eased by Rs 97, or 2.19 per cent, to Rs 4,337 per barrel with a business volume of 2,026 lots.

West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 0.30 per cent down at USD 59.82 per barrel, while Brent crude was quoting 0.30 per cent lower at USD 63.09 per barrel in New York.
